Hey friends!
I realized it’s been a while since I’ve shared my home with you, so I figured it was time for a tour! Today I’m joining my friend Emily from The Handmade Farmhouse and Jennifer Maune as we bring to you our homes decorated for Summer! Come take a peak at the new colors I’ve added (I know, can you believe there’s color in my home?!) and check out some of my latest home decor additions. I’ll walk you through it all and share the sources in case you’d like to shop the look for yourself! I’ll also be sharing the links to the other tours at the end, so don’t forget to scroll through. You won’t want to miss the other inspiring homes on todays’ tour!

First change you might notice is this sunburst mirror above the fireplace. I know, if you follow me you’re thinking, you’ve changed it AGAIN?! I play musical chairs with my wall decor.. it’s just too fun to mix it up! Why not?? Nothing has to be set in stone! This mirror might end up in another room by the end of the year, and that’s ok with me!
I tried to glam up the ottoman accessories a bit by incorporating this Regina Andrew votive and clear acrylic tray with my existing decor. Keeping it soft and light felt like the right move for Summer. I love how the coffee table books bring just a touch of color and contrast. Shop these accessories and more below!
You may recognize these pillows from my Friday Favorites post I shared a while back. I absolutely love the classic print and soft colors they’ve brought into the living room. I also made a bold move and tried to sew an ottoman slipcover. It didn’t turn out half bad, but don’t look too closely! I am, by no means, a seamstress.. but thank goodness for youtube!!
This corner finally got a tree! I’ve been debating over getting a tree for way too long and finally broke down and got this one! It’s so affordable and the perfect size, so I’m happy!
Our dining room is constantly evolving and each time it changes, I love it more and more! This Summer I invested in this gorgeous custom painting and I love how it brings soft pastels into the space. The ruffled bowl is a fun piece and can work just about anywhere.
I kept the dining room server cabinet simple with a some stacked books and coral because I wanted the painting to take center stage.
Now on to the bedroom… I planned to completely update my bedroom at the beginning of the year, but unfortunately, the full update is not complete due to covid delays. Although it’s not finished, here’s a peak at the progress so far! I’ll be sharing a full post with before and afters later, but for now I wanted to share a little preview!
You may also notice the nightstands are different. I found these vintage chests on Chairish and covered them with a fresh coat of paint. I still need to add a gold trim, but I’m loving them so far. I also got new lamps and some beautiful chinoiserie vase prints to frame the canopy bed.
The canopy bed went from a dark bronze to a beautiful gold leaf with the help of a little rub-n-buff! It was so easy, I was able to finish the whole project during nap time! For those brave enough to try it for yourself, I recommend getting a lint free cloth and working fast. It is super easy to apply, but instantly dries, so you don’t want to go back over it once you’ve applied it or it will smudge. I learned that the hard way.
The bedding is missing some euro pillows for the back of the these Greek key bordered king shams, but I don’t even mind it without. I have some gorgeous Schumacher fabric to sew them with and waiting for the fabric to back them. That same fabric will be used for drapes. I cannot WAIT till the fabric comes in because the drapes will make a world of difference!!
