Autumn has arrived… and with it, lots of pumpkins. Now if only the weather could keep up with the changing seasons. Even though it’s still warm here in Virginia, I’m choosing to embrace the season by decorating our front porch. Here’s quick tour of how I’ve dressed up our home’s entrance for fall in a few easy steps. Follow along as I share the details and where to get the look in case you’re looking to decorate your own front porch this fall.

1.Wreath
The easiest way to bring fall vibes to your home is swapping out that wreath! Mine is pretty simple with a mix of greenery and white painted pumpkins. I had picked out some other really pretty ones, but in the end, they didn’t coordinate with the pumpkins as much as I had hoped. If you’re still on the lookout for that perfect wreath, here are some of my favorites I had saved.
2. Pumpkins
This was my first year decorating the steps with pumpkins and I didn’t realize how many pumpkins it needed. Just when I thought I had enough…I learned that I needed more. After 3 trips to various stops (A local market, Home Depot and Trader Joes), I think my pumpkin collection is finally complete. If you plan to layer pumpkins on steps like I did, I recommend trying to find a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. If you prefer the ease of faux pumpkins, I’m sharing some of my favorites below!
3. Mums
White mums instantly brightened up our porch. Framing the front door with a pair of mums is also simple way to bring some color. They have so many pretty fall colors to choose from. Here are a few I found below.
4. Welcome Mat
Try warming up your doormat with layers. Adding a plaid woven rug beneath your existing rug can be a great way to bring in the seasonal tones. I found this affordable plaid rug at Amazon and the Welcome Mat is by H&M.
That’s it for today, but I’ll be back with more fall decor ideas soon. Hope you’re as excited for the season as I am!
