Pumpkins aren’t the only addition to our dining room this fall. I’ve made some changes just in time for the season and am so excited to share them with you today! Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you enjoy the tour.

The biggest change (in my opinion) is the chandelier. I’ve been wanting to lighten up the space up for a while now and finally decided to go for it. And so glad I did. The previous chandelier was heavy with it’s wood and bronzed finish and didn’t create the look I wanted. Now the space seems softer with this french country style chandelier and it’s feminine and ornate details.
I kept my fall decor neutral with white and green pumpkins and a variety of greenery.
This server sideboard is one of my favorite additions. I had no idea how much of an impact it would have on the space. Not only does it create SO much more storage space, but it also gives me another surface to decorate! Yay for more decor!
These natural birch wood vases from Joannes screamed fall to me. I love how they mixed with the white floral and greenery.
You may have noticed the dining chairs have changed. The previous ones matched the table with wood and wicker but I wanted to lighten them up. My goal was to find some elegant, french country style chairs to tie in the chandelier. I found this set of chairs on offer up for $35 and painted and reupholstered to give them the look I wanted. Stay tuned for a DIY tutorial on how I did this with Amy Howard Chalk Paint.
Because our dining room is so small, the bench is a perfect fit and I think it’s style works well with the new chairs. If you ever feel like your dining room is tight, you might want to consider a bench. They really help open the space up.
The space also feels brighter because of the new drapery. I changed out the gray curtains and replaced them with these cream panels with a taupe trim detail. Keeping it neutral helped achieve the softer look I was going for and an overall elegant feel.
The dining room finally feels like a true reflection of my style. It may have taken a while to get there, but I’m so happy with the new updates and can’t wait to entertain in it this season. That’s it for now, but stick around because I have some other home updates coming soon! Follow me on Instagram and Pinterest so you don’t miss it.
