I love entertaining and look for any excuse to throw a party. And with the holidays around the corner, it’s time to plan ahead- starting with a well styled bar cart. Bar carts can be so much fun to decorate. You can change them up with each season and incorporate them in just about any space. But as fun as they can be, they can also be challenging to style at times. That’s why I thought it would be fun to share some bar cart styling tips and decorating ideas in case you’re in the market for a bar cart and don’t know where to start!
I turned to Walmart to put this adorable bar cart and it’s accessories together. I know it looks expensive, but believe it or not, it’s all super affordable. You can shop it all by visiting their Holiday barware page. They have everything you need and more for entertaining this Holiday season. Come take a look through some of my favorite bar carts and accessories from their page, along with some tips on how to put it together!

1. Pick a Theme
What occasion are you planning for? Is it a birthday party? Holiday Party? Or simply part of your seasonal decor? Whatever the occasion is, use that for your decorating inspiration. For my bar cart, I wanted it to be elegant and chic for Fall. I picked gold as my finish and tried to incorporate it throughout the drinkware and decor. If you’re not sure where to start, pick a style and run with it! Below I’m sharing some of my favorite bar carts in a wide range of styles, so you’re bound to find one you love!
2. Less is More
It’s easy to over clutter a bar cart. Try keeping it simple. I like to display my favorite drinkware, fancy decanters, and my beverage of choice. I keep some of my larger and less attractive bottles on a shelf in the cupboard. There’s no need to have it all on display.
3. Accessorize
Dress up your bar cart with some accessories. A matching ice bucket and shaker are great to have on hand when entertaining. I found some adorable ones at Walmart and am sharing them with you below. If you’re not planning on entertaining anytime soon, you could accessorize with decorative accents instead. I added this leaf dish for a touch of Fall. During Christmas I might add some garland and a small dish of ornaments. Pick some things you love to show some personality.
4. Stacked Books
Round up your favorite cocktail books and show em off! Stacked books is a great way to add dimension and style to a bar cart.
5. Flowers
Last but not least, every bar cart could use some flowers or plants. I used a white faux floral arrangement to bring a feminine and elegant touch. Flowers and greenery are a great way to incorporate color and can instantly brighten up the space.
