The most exciting part of my job is when a project ends with a beautiful space and a happy client. This past week I worked on transforming a bedroom into a minimal and chic coastal oasis, and all within an affordable budget. If you’re looking for inspiration, come take a look at the before and after pictures, you’ll be amazed at the difference!
I’m sharing the final design as a part of the “Rooms we Love tour”, hosted by my sweet friend Tammy at Pink Peppermint Design. If your coming from Bethany at The Posh Home, thank you so much for joining! I’m so glad you’re here. We have an awesome line up of rooms we love shared by some of my favorite bloggers. You won’t want to miss it. So grab a coffee, sit back, and enjoy the tour!

The concept for this space was to create a coastal vibe without going to overboard with the theme. For this particular client, that meant simple, clean, and minimal. Nothing too busy, funky, or loud. They wanted something soft and subtle that was both dog and cat friendly, something fit for the whole family. And that’s just what we did!
I love seeing the before and after pictures because they really show how far the room has come. Originally the space was pretty bare, making it the perfect canvas for a room makeover. The only things that remained was the furniture, but other than that we needed to find bedding, window treatments, lighting, wall decor, and accessories.
These glass lamps were super affordable and I love how they blend in keeping the look clean and simple.
I always try to add some greenery throughout to give the space some color.
As much as I was tempted to bring in some fun patterns for the pillows, I wanted to keep the look true to my clients taste. So instead of patterns, I opted for a fun textured euro pillow with a fringe, some natural linen throw pillows, and a white Ralph Lauren lumbar pillow. It’s always important to me that pillows have a variety of dimensions, these sizes are my go-tos for most of my bedding selections.
We added a natural linen bench at the end of the bed and kept it a transitional style to match the rest of the furniture.
This art piece was one of my favorite Home Goods finds. It really brought the color scheme to life with its soft tones.
Isn’t it fun to see what a little creativity can do for a space? All the decor selected was from Home Goods, Target, and Wayfair, making it incredibly affordable and keeping the project under budget. And in just a day this room went from drab to fab!
I hope you enjoyed touring one of my favorite spaces! But don’t stop here, there are so many beautiful rooms on this tour that you won’t want to miss!
